Daniel Barrett

Associate Financial Planner

Daniel at work

After graduating with a first-class degree in economics at MMU, Daniel got his first job at Sports Financial Services liaising with clients.

He then moved to Suttons and worked as a client manager while training to become a qualified planner, which he did in July 2024.

Daniel is now an associate planner who specialises in working with young professionals looking to build their wealth towards financial independence and helping business owners secure the future of their business and extract profits into their personal wealth tax-efficiently.

The proudest moment of my career was:

"Helping my first client to build their plan for retirement."

The thing I love most about my job is:

"Seeing the look on a client’s face when they realise their hopes and dreams can be achieved – taking the worry away."

The types of people I most enjoy working with are:

"People who are enthusiastic about and engaged with working towards financial independence.

Those who want to live a great life."

Fun fact

Family is really important to me, I see my grandparents every week.

#2

Fun fact

Italy is my favourite place to be. It has amazing food and drink, a laid-back vibe, and I’ll go back every year (just not to the main tourist spots!)

#3

Fun fact

I’m starting to get into running, so if you see me running slowly around Sale, don’t laugh (hopefully putting this on the website will force me to do it!)

Daniel at home

Daniel was born in Sale and has lived there all his life. He is a Manchester United supporter.

He spends his spare time with his girlfriend, going out for walks, and eating good food together.

He can also be found keeping active on a padel court or golf course.
